Software Automation Engineer in Test – CIM/PFA/SRL – Anywhere from Romania

About the role: As the SEIT, you will be responsible for creating the automated testing capability used by our agile development teams. This involves selecting or creating automation frameworks for use at the appropriate level of the test automation pyramid. You will also ensure testing automation and more technical testing is thought about throughout the development lifecycle. You will be involved in most elements of our agile process, and will ensure enough time is allocated for automating suitable parts of the wider testing efforts.

The successful candidate will:

● Support developers and test engineers with more technical testing
● Write, implement and champion automated testing frameworks for API’s, webpages and Android/iOS Apps
● Integrate automated tests into our CI pipeline
● Implement clear automated test reporting that provides fast and clear feedback
● Create and support monitoring systems for our live platforms
● Be passionate about test automation and up to date on the latest trends and thinking
● Contribute your ideas and get involved in the evolution of our testing function
● Be a strong team player, interested and involved in the improvement of our development processes


Essential:

  • Comfortable working as a lone engineer providing support to agile teams
  • Proficient with in a number of relevant programming languages
  • Experience in evaluating, selecting and implementing suitable test automation solutions
  • Able to look beyond our current needs and create and deliver an agreed technical roadmap for your function
  • Have a track record of mentoring less technical testers in test automation


Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working with remote teams an advantage
  • ISTQB/ISEB certified
  • Previously worked on ecommerce products delivered through websites and apps
  • Languages and frameworks such as: C#, Javascript, Selenium, XCIUTest, Espresso, Appium, Postman
  • Experience working with CI/CD delivery pipelines that drive cloud-based test automation execution (Saucelabs, Browserstack or similar)
  • Knowledge of Performance, Security, Reliability, Recovery or any other kind of non-functional testing
  • Actively involved in the wider testing community
